lon Exchange (India) Limited a pioneer of water treatment in India was established in 1964 as a subsidiary of Permutit Company of UK. Ion Exchange produced for the first time in India, a wide range of world-class ion exchange resins to meet exacting needs of its customers. Concurrently, we established design capabilities to engineer and produce water & wastewater treatment equipment.
Thus the foundation was laid for the building of the strong edifice that is lon Exchange, which is now globally recognized for its quality, timely deliveries and ability to customize products and solutions meeting the exacting requirements of its Indian and global customers.
Since inception, we have been ahead of time in bringing to the country state-of-the-art technology through our own continuous R&D along with tie-ups with specialist companies worldwide. Our R&D and technology centers are certified by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) since 1965.

Range of indion Resins: Water-Based Resins
Ion Exchange pioneered the production of resins in India with the country’s first resin manufacturing unit at Ankleshwar, Gujarat. It is one of the largest resins manufacturing unit and is the first ion exchange resins manufacturing plant to receive the ISO 9001& 14001 certification in India. Its pharmaceutical grade resins manufacturing facility is USFDA compliant. This facility is also WHO-GMP certified.

Ion Exchange offers a complete range of world-class speciality, customised chemical treatment programs for utility and process applications in all industries. Our INDION Specialty Water Treatment Programme includes cooling water treatment, boiler water treatment, fireside treatment, coagulants, flocculants, antiscalants, membrane cleaning chemicals and water testing kits. We also offer a range of INDION speciality chemicals for sugar, paper, petro-refinery, mining and other processes.
Range of Instrumentation & Automation Systems
Industrial water quality must be monitored closely to achieve high level of operational efficiency and also to safeguard plants and process equipment from corrosion, microbial and fouling etc. At Ion Exchange, we have a wide range of instruments to monitor process and waste water parameters such as pH/ORP, conductivity, resistivity, dissolved oxygen, turbidity and ammonia. They are available in models to suit every environment – handheld/portable, benchtop, wall/field mounted, panel and rack mounted.
